Burlington County Community Development - BURLINGTON COUNTY

Federal funds from Housing and Urban Development (HUD) are awarded as a grant to Burlington County to carry out a wide range of community development activities directed toward revitalizing neighborhoods, economic development, and providing improved community facilities and services. T hese Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds may only be used to meet broad national objectives as follows:    Benefiting low- and moderate-income persons    Preventing or eliminating slums or blight    Meeting other community development needs having a particular urgency because existing conditions pose a serious and immediate threat to the health or welfare of the community and other financial resources are not available to meet such needs
