Oahu, Hawaii Mainstream Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Waiting List

This waiting list is for Mainstream Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher rental housing assistance in Honolulu County, Hawaii.

The Hawaii Public Housing Authority (HPHA) Mainstream Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently closed. Applications were last accepted from March 22, 2021 until March 26, 2021. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

Please note: The HPHA states "To qualify, an applicant must have a member of the household who: 1. Has a disability; AND 2. The disabled individual must be at least eighteen (18) years of age but not yet sixty-two (62)."

To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to complete the online application.

This waiting list had the following preferences:

• Non-elderly persons with a disability.

1,000 applicants were placed on the waiting list by random lottery, weighed by order of preferences.
