This waiting list is for Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher rental housing assistance in Leavenworth County, Kansas.

The Leavenworth Housing Authority (LHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently open. Applications are being accepted from March 11, 2020 at 8:00 am CT, until December 12, 2024 at 4PM. IMPORTANT: This waiting list has been open indefinitely for several years and is closing on December 12, 2024. You must get your application in by 4PM on Thursday, December 12, 2024 or it will not be processed.

To apply during the opening period, pick up an application from the LHA, located at 200 Shawnee Street, Leavenworth, KS 66048; Monday through Friday during normal business hours.

Once the application has been completed, it must be returned in person to the LHA, address mentioned above, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.

This waiting list has the following preferences: elderly, disabled, heads of household who are working full time or full time students.

It is not known how applicants will be placed on the waiting list.
