Kent and Sussex County, Delaware Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Waiting List

This waiting list is for Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher rental housing assistance in Kent and Sussex County, Delaware.

The Delaware State Housing Authority (DSHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently open.

The DSHA is accepting Section 8 HCV applications for this waiting list from the earliest confirmed date of May 1, 2018, until March 18, 2022 at 4:30 pm ET.

Please note: Program participants, except the elderly or disabled, must also be enrolled in the Moving to Work (MTW) program.

There are four ways to apply during the opening period:

1. Complete the online application.
2. Call (888) 363-8808 to request an application by mail.
3. Pick up an application at the DSHA waiting list office, located at Liberty Court, 1289 W. Walker Road, Dover, Delaware 19904.
4. Print the paper application here.

Once the paper application has been completed, it must be emailed, mailed or faxed to the DSHA. Any applications received after March 18, 2022 will be returned.

This waiting list has the following preferences:

• Live or work in Kent or Sussex County.
• Working more than 20 hours per week. 
• Veteran.
• Head of household and spouse/co-head have never participated in the Moving to Work Program.

Selected applicants will be placed on the waiting list by date and time the application is received, weighed by order of preferences.
