This waiting list is for Public Housing rental housing assistance in Miami-Dade..
The Miami-Dade Public Housing and Community Development (PHCD) is accepted online applications for its Public Housing Program from October 15, 2024, to October 25, 2024. Eligible low-income individuals, families, the elderly, and persons with disabilities who live in Miami-Dade County were encouraged to apply. This waiting list was not for the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program.
According to the housing authority and news reports, more than 21,000 applicants applied for public housing on the first day of the application window.
Note: The public housing waiting list is open only to residents of Miami-Dade County at the time of application, and residency will be verified with supporting documentation at the time of eligibility.

Selection Process
All applications submitted during the open period were processed through a computerized lottery system, which assigned randomly selected ranking numbers to applicants.
Application Method
To apply, applicants had to complete the online application at www.miamidade.gov/publichousing. If you require assistance, you may visit one of the following locations, available Monday through Friday, from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM (except holidays):

- Model City Branch Library: 2211 NW 54 Street, Miami, FL 33142
