Housing Authority of the City of Shawnee Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Waiting List

The Housing Authority of the City of Shawnee (HACS) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently open. This waiting list is open indefinitely.


Shawnee, OK is about 40 miles southeast of Oklahoma City, OK.


There are two ways to apply: 

1. Visit the HACS office to pick up a pre-application, located at 601 W. 7th St., Shawnee, OK 74801, from 7:30 am until 4:00 pm CT, Monday-Friday.
2. Request to have a pre-application mailed to you by calling (405) 275-6330 from 7:30 am until 4:00 pm, Monday-Friday.

Once the pre-application has been completed, it can be mailed to P.O. Box 3427, Shawnee OK 74802-3427, or hand delivered to the address above from 7:30 am until 4:00 pm, Monday-Friday.


No documents are needed at this time.


Preferences were not identified.


Applicants will receive a confirmation number upon submitting the pre-application. It is important to keep that number in a safe, easy to access place. It will be needed any time when referencing your pre-application with the housing authority.


The current wait time for a Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher is approximately 8 to 12 months.
