This waiting list is for Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher rental housing assistance in Greenville County, South Carolina.

The Greenville Housing Authority (GHA) last accepted Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications on a limited basis for one day only on May 1, 2023. There is no notice when this waiting list will reopen.

Please note: According to the GHA public notice, this waiting list was "Only for families that are youth certified by the South Carolina Department of Social Services meeting the following conditions:

• Has attained at least 18 years and not more than 24 years of age;
• Left foster care, or will leave foster care within 90 days, in accordance with a transition plan described in section 475(5)(H) of the Social Security Act; 
• Homeless or is at risk of becoming homeless at age 16 or older."

To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to complete the online application.

Preferences have not been confirmed.

It was not known how applicants were placed on the waiting list.
