Staunton and Augusta County, Virginia Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Waiting List

This waiting list is for Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher rental housing assistance in Staunton and Augusta County, Virginia.

The Staunton Redevelopment and Housing Authority (SRHA) last accepted Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from the earliest confirmed open date of August 17, 2023, until June 1, 2024. There is no notice when this waiting list application will reopen.

There were four ways to apply while the waitlist was open:

1. Complete the online application.
2. Print the paper application.
3. Pick up an application from the SRHA office.
4. Pick up an application from the SRHA office Drop Boxes outside.

Once the paper application was completed, It was to be either:

1. Hand delivered to the SRHA office, or place it in the black drop box outside the front doors.
2. Email it to the SRHA.
3. Mailed to the SRHA office.
4. Faxed to SRHA.

Preferences have not been confirmed.

It was not known how applicants were placed on the waiting list.
